POLICIES & PROCEDURES

All policies will be reviewed and must be accepted on the registration application.

LIABILITY

All children are in good physical condition and do/does not suffer from any disability that prevents or limits his/her participation in all activities conducted by Playschoolers, LLC. Playschoolers, LLC will not assume any responsibility or liability for personal injury or damages caused by the injury. In the event Playschoolers, LLC is unable to reach a parent, guardian or any emergency contact, child(ren) will be transported to the nearest hospital for treatment in case of an accident or emergency. Authorization will be granted to any of the staff or employees of Playschoolers, LLC to provide for, approve and authorize health care at the hospital.

ILLNESS

For the protection of all of the children in our care at Playschoolers as well as the health of your own child and my family, I ask that parents assist me by keeping sick children at home. In the event that a child becomes sick while here, the family will be notified and prompt pick up arrangements will be made. If a child is sick, unable to play outdoors, and/or unable to participate in regular daily activities, alternate arrangements for care must be made. Children with infectious illnesses can not attend and require a doctors note before they may return. When required, antibiotics must be administered for at least 24 hours before a child may return. A child may not be in attendance at Playschoolers with a fever of 99.9 degrees and higher. This includes the night before/morning of daycare. No fever for 24 hours without taking fever reducing medication. If you had to give your child medicine the night before, they may not resume care at Playschoolers the next morning. Children suffering from a common cold will be assessed on an individual basis. PLEASE BE COURTEOUS OF ALL CHILDREN IN MY PROGRAM, AND REFRAIN FROM BRINGING AN ILL CHILD UNTIL 24 HOURS HAVE PASSED SINCE ANY FEVER, VOMITING, DIARRHEA, OR ANY OTHER COMMUNICABLE SYMPTOMS HAVE OCCURRED.

CHILD DROP-OFF/PICK-UP

DROP-OFFS: Parents that need to drop children off before 7:00 AM will be charged an additional $5.00 per 30 minutes prior to 7:00 AM. A $5.00 minimum charge for drop-offs prior to 7:00 AM will be applied. There is a 12 hour minimum advanced notice required for early drop-offs.

PICK-UPS: All children MUST be picked up no later than 6:00 PM. Parents arriving at 6:05 PM will be charged a $10.00 minimum late pick-up charge for the first 30 minutes. An additional $10.00 per 30 minutes later than 6:30 PM will be charged accordingly. These charges are (per occurrence), accumulative charges.

ABSENT POLICY

A number of factors are involved when planning for your child's attendance here at Playschoolers. In order to comply with state regulatory guidelines on ratio requirements and to better serve your family by providing quality care and personal attention to your child, we maintain small group numbers and require additional staff help when ratio's meet a certain level. In addition to staffing requirement costs, other costs and time are also involved for scheduling, program planning, classroom agenda and curriculum prep. If a child will be absent, please notify me by phone at 317-910-2375 or via Procare as soon as possible. Tuition will be charged at regular rate for absences without at least a 24 hour advance notice. A 50% reduction in billed tuition for absent days without a 24 hour notice will be applied IF the absence is due to illness AND a doctors note is given upon your child's return.

HOLDING FEE

Any absence with a notice of 24 hours or more, a scheduled event/vacation time, a snow day (due to severe weather warnings that cause closings), or a holiday, will only be charged a holding fee of $17 per day ($11 per day for morning only schedules). Families with a child that will be absent for (1) week or longer due to vacation or illness will be charged a $85/wk. holding fee ($50/wk. for morning class schedules) to secure their spot in the classroom until they return. A child that is absent for a period of (3) weeks (15 business days) will be dropped from the program, allowing a wait-listed child to fill their spot. A child that has been dropped from the program must redo the registration process including the registration fee and become wait-listed if the class is full.

PHOTOS / VIDEOS

We use the Procare app as a platform to manage your child's care. It is an all in one solution for communicating your child's daily activities. With use of the Procare app and our website, Playschoolers, LLC will take, edit, copy, publish, distribute and make use of any and all pictures or video taken of child(ren) to be used in and/or for legally promotional materials and digital communications. This authorization shall continue indefinitely, unless otherwise revoked of said authorization in writing by the parent/legal guardian of the child(ren). These materials shall become the property of Playschoolers and will not be returned. Parents that do not want photos/videos to be taken of their child(ren) may decline at registration and submit a written notice stating such.

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATION

We understand plans change. We will gladly issue a full refund for any cancellation requests received more than 14 days before the start of the program. No refunds on cancellation notices received less than 14 days before the first day of attendance.
